Course Aim
This course will provide you with an understanding of the different types of fire extinguishers and give you the practical skills to put out a fire using the correct equipment, whilst learning about new developments relating to effective fire suppression.


Course Overview

Theory/Practical sessions covering the following: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the fire classes and fire suppression techniques.
  • Select and implement a strategy to deal with fire.
  • Explain the use of fire blankets and their limitations.
  • Apply safety actions when dealing with a fire.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles and physical dynamics of fire.

3271: 
Suppress fire with hand extinguishers and fixed hose reels- Level 2 Credits 1

4647: Explain principles of fire science Level- 2 Credits 1

Attendance Numbers: Maximum 10 per session

Course Duration: Approx. 4 hours, up to 2x sessions per day

Course Location: TBC

Course Cost: $1,200+gst per session

Mileage$120.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and 1+gst per km everywhere else

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers not met)
