Atmospheric Testing and Gas Detection Unit Standard 25510

Course Aim
Delivered on your site, or at our facility, at the successful completion of this course a trainee will be able to determine whether there are any harmful gases, including high or low levels of oxygen or excessive levels of toxic and flammable gases that could pose a danger to humans or the environment

When delivered at our facility the course will involve multiple scenarios using our custom built and dedicated facility.  

Course Overview
Theory and practical sessions covering the following: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of atmospheric testing versus gas detection
  • Understand the relevant industry terminology
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant atmospheric and gas detection equipment
  • Understand the limitations around the accuracy of gas detectors
  • Demonstrate knowledge of atmospheric testing in potentially hazardous environments

NZQA Unit Standards

  • 25510: Operate an atmospheric testing device to determine a suitable atmosphere exists to work safety. - Level 3, Credit 4

Attendance Numbers: Minimum 4 - maximum 10 per session

Course Cost:  NEW $265.00+gst 

                       REFRESHER $265.00+gst 

Mileage$100+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and .95c+gst per km everywhere else

Client to ensure participants are mentally and physically able to complete course.

Client to supply associated equipment and space for completion of practical in line with company requirements/duties to be conducted.

(Minimum number charge will be applied if minimum numbers are not met)
