Bullying & Harassment

Course Aim
This course is designed to assist trainees on the subject of bullying and harassment awareness and management, the health and safety at work act requirements, workplace and non-workplace impacts as well as some helpful hints and tips for maintaining a good work life balance.

HSWA 2015 describes a hazard as something that;

  • Includes a person’s behaviour where that behaviour has the potential to cause death, injury, or illness to a person (whether or not that behaviour results from physical or mental fatigue, drugs, alcohol, traumatic shock, or another temporary condition that affects a person’s behaviour) 
  • Exposure to any hazard, for example, a physical, biological, chemical, atmospheric, or psychological hazard

Course Overview
Theory lessons covering the following: 

  • The HSWA Act, an overview
  • The roles of workers and PCBU’s (Employers)
  • What is and isn’t bullying or harassment
  • Effects of bullying or harassment
  • Management of bullying and harassment
  • Principles of workplace respect

NZQA Unit Standard: Non-unit standard based learning

Attendance Numbers: Minimum 4 - maximum 14 

Course Duration: Approx. 4 hours can be combined with stress and fatigue management for 8-hour course    

Course Location: TBC

Course Cost: $220.00+gst per person

Mileage: $100.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and .95c+gst per km everywhere else

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers not met)
