Cab Controlled Gantry Operator Unit Standard 3790

Course Aim
Trainees will be able to apply theory and skills in lifting and placing loads with a cab controlled gantry crane and analyse and evaluate processes, through practical experience.

This course is based on coaching and assessment only and is designed for trainees with experience in cab controlled gantry crane operation.

 

Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.
 

Course Overview
Theory and practical assessments covering the following: 

 

  • demonstrate knowledge of using a cab controlled gantry crane
  • Use a cab controlled gantry crane to lift and place regular loads
  • Carry out daily and weekly operator maintenance of a cab controlled gantry crane

 

Prerequisites

 

  • Unit Standard 3800, Use a radio remote or pendant controlled gantry crane to lift and place regular loads

Use a cab controlled gantry crane to lift and place regular loads  Level 3, Credits 2

 

Attendance Numbers:             Minimum 1 - maximum 4 

 

Course Duration:                     Full day course Approx 4 hours for refreshers (up to 2 sessions per day for refreshers

 

Course Location:                     TBC

Course Costs:                          $550+gst per person Full

                                                $400+gst per person Refresher

 

 

Mileage: $120.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and $1+gst per km everywhere else

 

All other associated costs to be priced at the time including but not limited to flights, accommodation & meal allowances. 

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers are not met)
