Height Safety Introduction Unit Standards 17600

Course Overview
Custom theory based introduction to working at Heights safety, delivered on-site or at our facility, giving trainees the theory knowledge to help them start to understand how to work at height under supervision 

Site Supervisors (at least one employee per site) Must complete unit 15757: Use, install, and disestablish temporary proprietary height safety systems when working at height (This is on our advanced height safety course)

When delivered at our facility the course will involve multiple scenarios using our custom built and dedicated facility.

NZQA Unit Standards

17600: Explain safe work practices for working at heights -  Level 3, Credits 3 (this unit also meets EWP Best Practice Guidelines)

Additional height safety unit standards can be added on but this will incur additional time and cost talk to our team about a custom package.

Course Prerequisites

• Use of a training room for the duration of the course (if on clients site)
• Safety footwear
• Use of certified working at heights PPE including, helmets, harness, lanyard, fall arrest devices used in workplace, high-viz vests (if on clients site)
• Copies of company templates for emergency rescue plan, job safety analysis, equipment checklist is specific to working at heights

(If you do not have these currently in place this course will teach you, and enable you to write and implement them for your business).

We will provide examples and templates for the training

Course Duration: Approx. 8 hours

Course Cost: $310+gst per person

Mileage: $120.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and $1+gst per km everywhere else

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers not met)
