This course is based on industry best practice and designed for people with experience in the rigging of complex or irregular loads in crane operation environments.

Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.

Course Overview Theory and practical assessments covering the following:

• Describe the purpose and use of types of lifting equipment
  
  
• Select lifting equipment and apply sling and lifting gear to the load
  
  
• Select and apply packing and dunnage to crane lift situations
  
  
• Prepare and sling complex loads
  
  
• Identify factors affecting the safe operation of the crane

Pre-Requisites

Minimum 28 working days practice on slinging complex or irregular loads

Must hold unit standard 3789 (6 months experience as a dogman advisable)

*If trainees do not hold 3789 & 30072 do not panic we can assess these units for you also over separate days
