Major Oak Safety Training (M.O.S.T) is a New Zealand based workplace assessment, competency training and safety solutions provider.

​We are a multi-award winning heavy and high-risk industry specialist NZQA registered Private Training Establishment (PTE).

Being based in the Waikato / Hauraki District of New Zealand’s North Island, this central location gives us the ability to service our clients both Nationally and Internationally.

We are industry leaders and innovators with state-of-the-art world class simulation technology as well as internationally recognized verification and training techniques.

We are proud to have developed New Zealand’s first NZQA accredited micro-credentials in the crane domain including pathways into and through the crane industry to help combat the skills shortage.

M.O.S.T is also the home of NZ’s first and only dedicated heavy industry and high-risk training facility with over 4,500m2 of training space including a 12ton Liebherr tower crane, height safety, confined space, mobile plant, load lifting and rigging areas to provide complete industry training for beginners through to experienced operators.

M.O.S.T has ten million dollars liability insurance as standard although this can be increased for specific job, contracts, or requirements.

We are able to adapt and tailor course material using relevant industry experience to keep the training enjoyable, involved, and informative across all levels of company structures, cultures and environments.

We specialise in delivering courses on customers sites to ensure they are trained using their equipment and procedures and not just attending another generic course with numerous other people.

M.O.S.T was founded because we are against the philosophy of “bums on seats” training, all training should be relevant and engaging.

​M.O.S.T’s vision is to prove no matter how mundane you think the subject might be, everything can be made fun, enjoyable and engaging!

This approach has served us well being named 2019-2022 Crane training company of the year as well as finalists in several business awards.  2022 also saw our founder being named NZ Crane Leader of the year.

M.O.S.T is always looking to find ways to benefit the wider industry by constantly upskilling ourselves, including building and maintaining relationships with overseas organisations that maybe leading the way of doing things differently to NZ.

We believe that we are taking the lead in the mission to provide safer, more competent, and efficient candidates to fill the skill gaps for heavy and high-risk industry.
