Non-Slewing Articulated Crane Operator Unit Standard 24511

Course Aim
Trainees will be able to apply theory and skills in lifting and placing loads with a non-slewing articulated crane and analyze and evaluate processes, through practical experience.

This course is based on coaching and assessment only and is designed for trainees with experience in non-slewing articulated crane operation.

Combining a little theory and 3 practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.
 

Course Overview
Theory and practical assessments covering the following: 

  • Configure and position a non-slewing articulated crane
  • Use of ropes, reeving, hook block, hook and rigging equipment for lifting regular loads
  • Lift and place regular loads
  • Prepare non-slewing articulated crane for road travel mode
  • Understand and complete documentation for crane travel

Prerequisites

  • Evidence of 6 months experience in an environment where cranes are operating
  • Unit Standard 3789 Sling regular loads and communicate during crane operations

Course Costs: $600.00+gst per person

Mileage: $100.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and .95c+gst per km everywhere else

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers are not met)
