Reach Stacker Operator

Course Aim
The Reach Stacker Licence Course is suitable for personnel working within transport and stevedoring industries who wish to operate a reach stacker as part of their job.
Whilst NON unit standard, this course is based on industry and international best practice.
This course is based on coaching and assessment only and is designed for trainees with experience reach stacker operation.
Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.
Course Overview
Theory and practical assessments covering the following:
- Planning the job, including identifying hazards, controlling risks, assessing load/container weights and planning paths of travel.
- Safe access and inspection of reach stackers.
- Workplace communication techniques.
- Preparing for reach stacker operations and maintaining plant stability.
- Safe operation and travel.
- Reach stacker shut down procedures and post-operational checks.
- General workplace safety and documentation requirements.
Prerequisites
- Workplace specific may include Forklift Operator, F Endorsement, Forklift Attachments, Class 2

Attendance Numbers: Minimum 1 – maximum 4
Course Duration: Full day course
Course Location: TBC
Course Costs: $2,400.00+gst per day
Transit Days: $1,200.00+gst + $1+gst per km
All other associated costs to be priced at the time including but not limited to flights, accommodation & meal allowances.
