Offshore Crane Operator (between platforms) Unit Standard 32094
Course Aim
Trainees will be able to apply theory and skills in lifting and placing loads with an offshore platform crane between a platform and a supply boat and analyse and evaluate processes, through practical experience.
This course is based on coaching and assessment only and is designed for trainees with experience in offshore platform crane operation.
Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.
Course Overview
Theory and practical assessments covering the following:
- Demonstrate knowledge of an offshore platform crane and associated equipment
- Operate a platform crane on an offshore installation moving loads between platform and supply boat
- Put a platform crane into out-of-service condition on an offshore installation
- Return lifting and other equipment to storage
- Complete associated documentation
Prerequisites
- Unit 32093: Operate, lift, and place loads with a platform crane on an offshore installation, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills
NZQA Unit Standard
32094: Lift and place loads between an offshore installation and a supply boat using a platform crane – Level 4, Credits 5
Attendance Numbers: Minimum 1 – maximum 4
Course Duration: Full day course
Course Location: TBC
Course Costs: $2,400+gst per day
Transit Days: $1,200+gst + $1+gst per km
