First Aid Training and Customized Workshops Unit Standards 6401, 6402

Course Aim

This workplace course enables you to assess the scene and casualty for life threatening conditions and provide the necessary first aid. It will give you knowledge of common first aid conditions and how to respond to them.

Our medics will combine all the standard requirements with possible site / operational specific emergency scenarios to ensure that your staff are prepared in the best possible way to handle an emergency should the need arise. (Please have a spare set of clothes due to some scenarios)

Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.

Course Prerequisites

  • Physically fit
  • Access to indoor area for theory
  • Change of clothes is advisable
  • Access to isolated equipment if to be included in scenarios

NZQA Unit Standard

  • 6401    Provide First Aid – Level 2, Credits 1
  • 6402    Provide Basic Life Support – Level 1, Credits 1

Attendance Numbers: Minimum of 8 – maximum 12                                            

Course Duration: Full Course – 1 day

                             Refresher – 1 day (approx.)

Course Location: TBC (Your Site or Our Site)

Course Costs: $165.00+gst per person (full)                           

                       $165.00+gst per person (refresher)

Mileage: $120+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga and $1+gst per km everywhere else

(Minimum number charges will be applied if minimum numbers not met)
