Course Aim
This course is based on industry best practice and designed for people with experience in using crane mounted fixed or hanging leaders within piling and foundation operations.
Combining theory and practical assessments participants will demonstrate the following skills.
Course Overview Theory and practical assessments covering the following:
- Prepare a crane with a fixed or hanging leader and hammer, and associated equipment for piling and foundation operations;
- Carry out piling and foundation operations using a fixed or hanging leader and hammer;
- De-rig the leader and hammer, rerig the crane,
- Functionally test the crane for routine crane use,
- Complete documentation;
- Carry out daily and weekly safety and maintenance checks of crane, leaders, and hammers.
Prerequisites –
It is also strongly advised that the candidate hold the unit standard and or relvent expereince for the crane type the fixed or hanging leader is to be mounted and operated with.

Course Costs: $2,400.00+gst per session
Mileage: $120.00+gst to Auckland, Hamilton & Tauranga $1+gst per km everywhere else
